The call is for theStart-ups and SMEs offer sustainable solutions for the raw materials sector. EIT RawMaterials Booster supports start-ups and SMEs developing innovative products and services that can impact in the raw materials sector or benefit the EIT partners.
Who can apply?
The “Booster Call for Start-ups and SMEs” is open to the following participants who have an operative branch in one of the EU member countries or Countries Associated to Horizon Europe:
- Raw materials relevant start-up or spin-off companies at least registered at the time of application (registration certificate to be provided at the grant signature);
- Raw materials innovation- and technology-related SMEs (according to European Commission’s definitions) willing to boost their business through the introduction of new and innovative products and/or services.
Thematic Scope:
In the Booster Call 2023, EIT RawMaterials seeks companies developing solutions in three thematic scopes:
- Responsible Sourcing of primary and secondary resources for securing and processing strategic mineral resources in a sustainable and safe way and with a social license to operate.
- Sustainable Materials for electrification such as batteries, fuel cells, magnets; materials for lightweight design including steels, non-ferrous alloys, composites, multimaterials.
- Circular Societies new circular business models such as reuse, repair, remanufacturing, sharing economy.
Financial Support:
The successful applicants will receive financial support of up to EUR 200 000 and access to the EIT RawMaterials partner network to scale up. Please refer to the Call Guideline regarding the details of the call.
